National security adviser Jake Sullivan is set to travel to Israel on Sunday for talks with senior government officials including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, National Security Council spokeswoman Adrienne Watson said in a statement.
The war in Gaza, now in its eighth month, will be a focus of the talks in Israel, as well as the humanitarian crisis in the enclave and negotiations over a cease-fire deal to free the remaining hostages, Watson added.
